Conservation Ontario

Conservation Ontario is a charitable association that signifies the network of 36 conservation authorities. It is also a community-based watershed management agency, dedicated to conserving, restabilising and managing Ontario's natural resources on a watershed basis.

Office of Conservation Ontario is located in Newmarket, Ont., and is governed by a six-member elected board of directors and lead by a council made up of conservation authority representatives. It is funded mainly by its members, supplemented by project funding and contract work. In addition, this it supports the network of conservation authorities and is accountable for government relations, collective corporate services, education, research and training.
